Colby’s Photos & Videos knows that you may have privacy concerns. We take privacy issues seriously. This privacy policy describes how we use and do not use the information provided to us, as well as the steps we take to protect that information.
Financial information is not retained.
We do not record or retain any financial information given on payment forms or over the phone. Please do not email or text this information to us.
In-studio video and audio surveillance
Colby’s Photos & Videos may use video and audio surveillance within the studio (excluding the bathroom, of course). This is used for the protection of our equipment as well as for records of any inappropriate behavior.
The photographer/videographer may use content taken
We strive and push ourselves to create our best work every time. We sometimes submit the photos and videos we take to contests (which we have been very successful with) as well as use them for our website, blog, social media, and/or other marketing material. If you would prefer us not to use the content we take for you, please tell us before getting a quote or estimate.
No information we collect is shared with any third parties
We do not rent, sell, or exchange your name or other personally identifiable information to third-party companies for their marketing purposes—ever.
The only exception would be if we were required to disclose your personal information to third parties if necessary to comply with applicable laws, subpoenas, or court orders.
Personal information from online forms
When you fill out the contact form, we may ask for information such as your name, e-mail address, phone number, who referred you, how you heard about us, how we can help you, or other information. This information is stored in a database on our website and is used solely to follow up with you on any inquires you have. If you decide to work with Colby’s Photos & Videos, we may transpose this information to customer relationship management software as well as our newsletter.
Newsletters
If you sign up for our newsletter or are a customer, we may collect your e-mail address along with your first and last name or other information. This information will be used to follow up with you. You are given the opportunity at any time to be removed from the newsletter, with instructions for doing so included at the bottom of each newsletter issue.
